The Better Butter Board

Bread and Butter gets a stunning makeover that's so incredibly delicious and simple that it might be even better than a cheese board. Simple to follow and execute. The sky is the limit here, use any flavorings or toppings that you desire. The butter board is suitable for sweet, savory or even swicy (sweet and spicy). Think Asian inspired like kimchi, brown sugar, nori strips, sesame seeds, sesame oil and gochugang sauce to finish). Let us know about your amazing butter board creations!

Ingredients
1- 8 oz bar Kerry Gold Unsalted Butter, softened at room temperature (do not melt in microwave)
zest of one lemon
a few slices red onion, peeled and sliced thin
2 T pomegranate seeds
4-6 sprigs fresh thyme
2 T shelled pistachios, crushed
1 T Avra Coarse Sea Salt or rock or flake sea salt
1 drizzle extra virgin olive oil
North Shore Farms Epi or classic Baguette, cut into slices when ready to serve.
Directions
Find a serving platter or plate that you will use for serving. Take the back of the spoon and just start schmearing dollops of butter; overlapping edges. Grate lemon peel over the top.
Top with red onion slices, pomegranate seeds, fresh thyme, crushed pistachios and salt. (Tip: apply chunky or flaky salt liberally).
Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil; arrange baguette slices and serve!
