If you've been paying attention, sardines have been literally showing up everywhere. Which is great because they are packed with amazing health and aesthetic benefits. Only downfall is that the taste is somewhat difficult for many people. You've probably tried a type of sardine that just was, um, too much!! Great news, we have plenty of beginner friendly varieties, try the Wild Planet boneless and skinless sardines. Or the Brunswick butterflied sardines. Layer on flavors that will help balance all that sardine goodness such as grated garlic, pitted olives, peppadew peppers, onions, egg slices, red onions. and drizzles of peppery extra virgin olive oil. A beautiful bread for this is the North Shore farms Rustic European Sourdough Bread.
